Author Topic: There is this Burger King incredibly annoying commercial going around.  (Read 1894 times)

So for a long time I thought my PC or the other PCs in the house were going crazy. Because I keep hearing this computer DING sound. This specific sound goes "DING DING" and then after a few seconds it goes "DING DING" again.

Turns out I found out the sound was the "default beep" sound in your window's personal settings.

So here I am disabling this beep sound on every loving computer. This sound has been driving me crazy for months. I still hear the noise so I thought maybe it's from the internal speakers, right? So I'm looking up ways to disable the internal speaker because this beep sound is driving me crazy.

Then this burger king commercial turns on and it says buy this 2 for 5 whatever. Turns out it was the burger king commercial making the windows beep sound 4 times per loving commercial. This is the most annoying commercial I have ever witness. I never seen a commercial take a well known windows computer sound and constantly play it like 20 times a day just to get people to notice it. I thought I was having computer issues for months now.

I tried looking up the commercial to show you guys but the same commercial found online doesn't have the ding sound, it's only found on the TV version.

It plays the sound like this

5* for 4**

*DING

**DING

Not really at all.

The ding sound is softer in the online commercial but it's 10x louder on TV. Listen to it again.

Whoops the sound isn't windows default. Let me get the right name.

I'm looking for the right sound. I don't know the exact name.

It's windows ding.

Now it only sounds similar if you are not actually listening for the sound. Considering how I just leave the tv on in the background I don't notice the pitch difference.

yeah it does sound close, but not close enough for me to mistake it for the windows sound

If you're not paying attention and playing videogames you won't really notice a difference.

The ding also sounds much different through my TV than it does on the youtube commercial.

that doesnt sound like the win8 beep at all
try again

if those two dings sound the same then a triangle and a square have the same amount of sides

Two triangles can achieve the same amount of sides as a square.
