I vaguely remember having a similar problem in V20, and needing to go through the painful debug process.  Can't remember what it was, but it most likely would be an uncommon addon, or something is awry with your config.

I have script_footsteps and I think I crashed before that I hosted. Didn't load. Waited and hit ctrl k and crashed. I can try posting a console log although I have found in red like I think it said error_ something doesn't exist or something I don't remember.[b/color] error_tf2 does not exist

ingame red error messages generally arent about crashes, more like missing icons or such.
