the thing I don't understand is that if your uncle threw a knife and was as mad as you say, and the police were contacted, they should've detained him on the spot. especially if there was a hole caused by the knife and you could show them that the knife is a perfect fit. on the getting kicked out side, if it's your grandpas house it is his decision who gets to stay. and that being the case I highly doubt anyone would kick a child and their parents out over someone who is threatening to severely hurt people. the story is just really fishy imho. there has to be a reason your grandpa chose to kick your family out. also beating someone because they threw a chair is kind of the same rational as the person throwing the chair, "oh I'm mad so I'm gonna break stuff and hurt people". One last thing, having a loaded gun in a situation that can get explosive very quick is a terrible idea. Protect yourself with a knife or something, if your uncle just so happens to get his hands on your loaded weapon that can end very badly very quick.
