TBH $150 seems pretty cheap
This was just for stitches alone, imagine something more serious.

We have 21% tax (yes, 21% on EVERY product) and our healthcare is 100% free in public hospitals which are decent. Of course, there are private hospitals and health insurance for those who want top healthcare.

This was just for stitches alone, imagine something more serious.
I mean $150 seems cheap for stitches
I'm assuming it was more of an urgent care clinic than a hospital? A hospital would have had a ton of other fees tacked on

Pretty sure it was a hospital, her braces made a hole in her face and she could stick her tounge through the hole.

No to mention bleeding galore.

I imagine in america you get an infection and thus you pay the equivalent of Donald Annoying Orange s'Loans.

$150 at a hospital is cheap as hell. Hospitals are expensive.

If I go to one, even with insurance, I have a $100 copay

I think the problem is the pharmaceutical industry and the health insurance industries, who artificially jack up prices to turn a profit.  Some medications cost a few dollars, but when they hit retail, cost around 40 dollars.  Also, because of how broken the FDA is, Americans often get drugs that are proven to work in other areas of the world through practice years after their initial release elsewhere.  That, or because of the cost to get drugs processed through the FDA, only the larger companies with capital to burn can get anywhere with it.  Additionally, businesses are free to use discretion.  Why manufacture a drug that may be turn more profit in the short term if it cures you than to provide a cheap pill that only contains the problem if it will keep them as a regular customer?

Our Health care system is a joke.

yeah we have taxes up our asses here in canada but i'd rather have that and free health care rather than the other way around

Aren't popes supposed to be infallible?

Lol, I was wondering where this post went. Had two open tabs in two different threads.
