what is a human
you are now officially one, as of this moment

The real question is, who's really the one asking the questions?

me

i oppose the idea of 'papal infallibility.' there is only infallibility in scripture.

as for francis calling Annoying Orange out as a non-christian for his desire to build a wall: he essentially condemned another human for their sins(or more specifically, a sin not yet committed), which is forbidden.

on gay marriage, the bible says a man shall not lay with another man, which suggests only gay love is forbidden, but traditional christian marriages require consummation(love) to create a special soul tie between the wife and husband. that said, with the new testament in your mind, you should embrace all love between humans, and in my opinion legal marriages with no tie to religion should be allowed.

as far as contraceptives go, as long as you're married the way i see it you can have all the protected love you want. i believe the act of consensual love alone between a man and women married to each other glorifies God.

these three topics aside, francis has made many advances against God. I have suspicion that he may even be the false prophet spoken of in the Bible, and i've heard others go as far to say that the catholic church has always been the church of satan. not entirely unbelievable, as from what i can tell they basically deny Christ's sacrifice as sufficient enough to 'earn' their spot in Heaven.

Where does the Queen Spider come into all of this?

How can scripture possibly be infallible if there are priests and vicars and bishops whose entire job is to interpret the scriptures to the masses?

If it needs to be interpreted then obviously it can be interpreted in multiple ways. If it can be interpreted in multiple ways how do you know that you have the right interpretation?

Let's not forget that the scripture was written by men, not by God or Jesus. Men certaintly aren't infallible, so it's evidently possible that parts of scripture could be wrong. Hence the discrepancies between accounts of the same events in multiple books.

Plus the fact that there was literally a council who decided what was and wasn't to be included in the Bible. There were multiple books that were previously considered gospel, yet were outright removed.

I for one welcome a more Jesuit Catholic Church.

It says that I am Human because I ask questions. Perhaps you should as well.
You sound exactly like the kind of person I would gut on the spot so as to remove them from the populous and help others look forward to a brighter world.

I'm Catholic, by the way. Sorry that you're a loving idiot.

Note that Jesus said when He had come back to His disciples after He had risen to spread the word and the good news—A call to spread the word to all without reservation.  The notion of hierarchical priesthood was a human invention.  The bible in numerous locations places Jesus as head of the Church, and also warns against divisions.  So in other words, humans dun forgeted it up again.

Real question here, why do people capitalize "He" when referring to God?

The real question is, in what universe is religion, even more so the pope still relevant today?

lmaooooo, the pope is still very relevant today. just because he dosent rule over european politics doesn't mean that he has no influence. there's 1 billion catholics,I'm pretty sure he's still relevant to them.

I don't doubt there are 1 billion people who identify as catholic, but I hardly doubt anywhere near to even half live a religious lifestyle.

The universe where a majority of people still follow some sort of religion? (Hint: ours)
