Author Topic: Alt+F4 does not work on Windows anymore  (Read 1723 times)

Pressing Alt+F4 (forcibly closes the program in focus for those unaware) was my preferred method of quickly closing the game but it does not seem to work anymore. Using the shortcut prints "Issuing Disconnect packet." to the console but the game just freezes and becomes completely unresponsive.

Clicking around inside the window shows the standard Windows "not responding" dialog with the following details:

And this was posted in "Help" why?

...Because he wants Alt+F4 to work with Blockland again?

Because it's not normal for a game crash when you force quit it?

Correct.

Because it's not normal for a game crash when you force quit it?
Oh, okay.

If Alt+F4 is going to be implemented again I would like for it to be optional (Disable or enable) and possibly have a keybind option. IIRC someone told me that you cant because its a game engine thing, but given it doesn't work anymore it should be possible to implement into Blockland instead of from the engine. Allowing it to be modifiable.

Well this is awkward. It was not working because I was using ReShade shaders. Never mind, Alt+F4 works fine without third-party shader things.
