If you don't care about mic quality (and listen to music), a pair of these headphones and the separate mic will do very good for about $70. (Unless you really want a headset with a microphone on them, which aren't as good as actual headphones)

i can vouch for this. i currently have a GameCom D60 and it's great, albeit with your budget, you could proberly get something in the RIG range.
