try a usb adapter
I have an adapter that splits the audio but its a wierd thing
like this

It has the stupid stuff at its sides.
you cant plug it in. WHoever made that should kill himself

Either way ill look arround for one. It will most likely solve it but I dont want to buy extra stuff when I buy a damn headset
(Unless I missed a cable in the packaging)

I forgot what those are called but those aren't 3.5mm. (Red and white)

Typically you would plug the red and white into your television, and plug an auxiliary cord to your speakers.

EDIT:I think they're called RCA's.

Basically they aren't what you think they are.

As for the headphone issue I have no idea.

RCA or Composite.

OP,
Just to clarify, you've plugged in a 3.5mm jack for BOTH the input and output?

What?
Its a single jack, not 2?
Or am I missing something?

name the computer "telecommunications tower", stage a break-in, and flip the switch on it

It's not being a stuff.
Unless it's a USB headset, it needs both a 3.5mm Headphone and Microphone jack for the computer. Phones and Tablets are the only devices I know of that can use the jack for both purposes.

"Lets make a headset, but lets make it a single audio jack"
That doesnt make any sense
at all

It was probably built for use with mobile devices, or it came with a USB converter for use with a PC. I know of several headsets that do.

I lost the packaging
rip

I cant find any USB adapters, they all are male audio jacks to (fe)male USB ports ;/

most of the modern computers i see that aren't custom built or high-end have only a single jack for both the mic and the speakers, this is not unheard of and it is not a strange thing

My mother threw all my loving boxes, including all the boxes of my pc components away while I specificly told here not to
Are you loving stuffting me?

Well there goes all my loving warranty, gee loving thank you

just buy an adapter?

you dont need to return the headset

Give a pic of the headset jack. It might be a 4 pole 3.5mm jack, and your motherboard/case may not support it.
