Author Topic: Can I murder someone on Antarctica?  (Read 1819 times)

Wait, what if I kidnap Annoying Orange and stump him on antartica?

You could be tried for the kidnapping and then be charged for murder. The kidnapping would have taken place within jurisdiction, which I think would mean that the murder would also be within jurisdiction.

I'm sure the nation of the murdered could prosecute you in their courts anyway.
They may not be able to get you to their country if you stay on antartica, but if you went to their country they could probably arrest you.
Or have you arrested in another country via interpol and extradited to them.

ok since all of you ignore what i said about the international waters im about to end your careers

Goddamnit
But what if I bait him with a small loan of a million dollars to antartica?
Stumping the Annoying Orange breaks a fundamental physical law stating that the Annoying Orange cannot be stumped, therefore removing the entire universe.
What about dropkicks?

No. Murder is a crime, implies a law.
There are no laws there.

yea except the nations that have to do with NATIONAL LAW

Then dont visit those nations if youvwanna kill someone in antartica. We are talking about antartica. Other nations aren't related at all.

You can kill people in space and it's legal.

Has anyone been born in Antarctica?

I'm pretty sure that in civilised countries, the criminal code contains provisions which makes their provisions applicable to their citizens regardless of the place where the crime was committed.

So in short: no, legally you can't murder someone on Antarctica if you are coming from a civilised country.

if you kill someone on moon does the us have jurisdiction
