Unless you've bothered to play or sit through watching a pacifist playthrough you won't really understand what's great about the game.
i watched it and i played this game, i don't know about you but i sure felt like this entire thing was just catering to furries and tumblr
one time i, my father and his friends came along to watch the new star wars movie (no spoilers so you can look down), we were sitting in some swanky restaurant to wait for the movie to start playing or some stuff and the fat daughter of one of my father's friends starts rambling off to me about how she completed every single ending in undertale, pacifist, neutral and genocide or whatever the forget else exists in that game.
she didn't stop talking for anybody, her accent was loving annoying and she started to brag about her cosplay and art skills, she proceeded to show me some pictures on her smartphone that consisted of her dressed as a zombie/goth in some parties, she then proceeded to show me some artwork of undertale and claim that it was hers, even though the watermark on all of the artwork was different.
i wanted to call her out on that but i didn't, i kept talking (mostly listening though) to her and asked her where she wanted to move to after she was done doing stuff in greece.
"oh well you know i want to move to japan, korea and maybe america."
this was literally what she said (only in greek though), every interaction i had with her that night made me want to kill myself even more.
