Yeah p sure it just says you need to pay for it then you just click x and continue using it
that's not very legal
7zip lets you edit things but you cant view pictures
yeah you can
that wouldn't even make sense. reading and writing would be more complicated than reading alone

uhuh

something's up with your 7zip installation. i'm pretty sure the way it accomplishes opening files like that is by just extracting the file to a temporary folder (which can actually be changed in the settings) and opening it

try updating it maybe???

how come i've had this problem on every computer 7zip is installed to? i couldnt be doing anything wrong

no clue. i've never had that problem

try opening it in windows photo viewer instead

apparently its a problem with 7zip deleting the temp file before photo viewer actually pulls it up. it also has been a problem for several years and there is no fix lol

probably has to do with what version of 7zip you're using or how you're opening it
i think if you right click and use 7zip > open archive it should let you view pictures

i've noticed this happening but it always opens the file first

it's just annoying cus it means i can't modify .zip files easily the same way winRAR allows me to

nvm updating it worked sweet

WinRAR > 7zip

Anybody who tells you different is not just a liar, but is probably a dirty communist spy who should be shot on sight.

I can't think of a single benefit to winrar over 7zip. the only thing it can do that 7zip can't is create .rar files, which is completely worthless

okay now its not letting me set 7zFM.exe as the default program

like when i go to select it to add to the default programs list it doesnt even put it there and has some completely irrelevant program highlighted

more options > browse to(i think that's what it's called? or something. maybe 'select a program' or some bs) > find your 7zip install > 7zFM.exe
