shit?

stuff.
not stuff.

Author Topic: Lets talk about how stuff ghostbusters will be.  (Read 2112 times)

Pros:
  • no obvious sjw stuff
  • a callback to the earlier series to get old and new fans into it
  • effects were ok

Cons
  • the drastic change in ghost appearance makes slimer look really dated
  • speaking of ghost appearence, all of them are stereotypical zombies
  • jokes (at least in the trailer) weren't really good
  • stereotypical sassy black woman role

why did we need to reboot this instead of just making Ghostbusters 3
if its because of the whole women aspect then why not just make them venkman's daughters or something i mean like forget man
and we never get to see the ghost holding up 3 fingers man why

at least the original 2 are free on crackle
thanks sony

Why are they calling it ghostbusers?

Can't they at least be creative and give it a new name to avoid confusion?

because its ghostbusters with a different cast

  • a group of scientists studying paranormal activity encounter a ghost at a place downtown
  • as they find more they develop technology to solve people's problems
  • a black man who lives in the city joins the team of 3 for a job and the team is now 4
  • the source of the problem is found and the team combats it
  • a cheesy romance and other offhand jokes happen

the romance is implied because come on how could it not happen in this chick flick

I don't think it looks that good. Not because "teh tumblr feminational socialists r ruinin mh childhood!!!11!", but it feels like an unnecessary reboot that doesn't really justify its existence outside of having female Ghostbusters.

I didn't think it were possible.

The CGI in a big budget 2016 film looks worse than the CGI in a 1980s film.

I'm just going to come out and say that i used to be really in to ghostbusters. I even bought the video game for the Xbox 360 and it was surprisingly well made, for a ghostbusters game. I've clocked well over 300+ hours into busting other player's asses online.

I feel like a part of me died into the first 15 seconds of this trailer. Even if the original cast lost their touch, they could've chugged along for one last time.

So is this a sequel or a remake?

The trailer said 30 years ago blah blah blah this happened. Now this is the future and we have 4 ghost busters whom are females.

If it is a sequel why did they do the same stuff with the 4th ghost buster the black guy? Just hire some random black person off the street?

I guess everyone got laid after saving the earth from spooky spirits and their offspring happens to be 4 females who match the exact personalities of their parents and yadayada.

I wouldn't say that because it seems like the females in this movie are over acting.

So their personalities are trying too hard to be funny.

Everyone on youtube is saying this movie is for tumblr enthusiasts.

The acting seemed really slow and not very active. Like, they toned it down or something. Not that the original is very high paced but there were some stakes involved and the actors had a little more passion and stronger line delivery.

Because the original ghost busters were trying to set an example for the genre.

New Ghost Busters is trying to imitate the original and I don't see it happening, even if they had an all male cast.

From what it seems like 4 girls stumble upon an abandoned ghost busters building and they have no idea how to run it.

this

Everyone knows woman cant catch ghosts.

The fact that the all-female stars are the only big selling point should have been a hint that the rest of the plot was probably half-assed. Like, literally, that was the only thing they tried to use to generate hype. A good cast alone doesn't make it a good remake at all.

Also it's not Ghostbusters without Bill Murray. Sorry.
