I've got my own hens as well but seeing how cheap eggs are, I sell them whole and buy infinite eggs with the hen's money.

And since corn is grown in my own fields, no worries for food (for them anyways).

I can't remember, I just carry the stuff inside and give them a few buckets of food every like few days when they finally run out.
