I want to play, but I never have, and it's like,
if I play with people who are all new, then I doubt that's gonna work out too well?
but if I play with people who are experienced, I'm just gonna needlessly slow them down
;(
We are both new, we can play

There's manuals

11:50 PM - AndroFox: let's play D&D!!
11:51 PM - Foxscotch: hmmm
11:51 PM - Foxscotch: ok
11:51 PM - Foxscotch: should probably get 1 other person at least if we're gonna do it though
11:51 PM - AndroFox: indeed
11:51 PM - AndroFox: lets see if someone else shows up
11:51 PM - AndroFox: hopefully someone with experience

i'd totally  be up for d&d. but like.. not at this very moment. lol
i've got some experience. not an insane amount, but some

Edition 3.5, ok? We should schedule a time

me and foxscotch are looking for someone who will be a Dungeon Master, who's up for it?

Well, I think I might start reading up on the manual.

This always looked fun to me, but I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever.

You should run 5e, I think it's better than 3.5. Also all of the basic guides for it are free, and I'm sure you could find a free adventure to play. It's really not hard to DM, if you get stuck just make up the rules to whatever would keep the game fun. A lot of the rules in 5e say they can easily be ignored if it makes the game boring.

i wanna except i have little knowledge about it
it looks super fun though

I could play and DM a premade adventure for you guys. (not feeling up to the task of creating a new one from scratch, already did that for another party.) Only problem is that I've never played 3.5, only 5e. So I might be a bit screwy on some rules, having not read them, unless you guys are willing to make 5e characters.

Alas I would if I weren't already working on a campaign for blocklanders already

I don't have any problem with switching to 5e, I dunno about andro though
I'm not even really attached to D&D, pathfinder sounds just as cool

Pathfinder would probably be the easiest to get into as a first campaign

I really don't want to play 5e. It looks much more complex than the other editions and I'm not sure if I could handle it.

pathfinder branched off of D&D at 3.5, so it's probably pretty similar
and it has this website which looks pretty wonderful to say the least

Really? Most people say that it's the simplest version. I'm personally fine with learning any system myself, it just might delay the start of the game a tiny bit while I learn everything.
