Blockland forums app? LOL

I don't think it would be that hard though.  All you need to do it make an app that connects to the forum.

It's not very hard, but not that easy either.

Logically speaking, i't would be highly unlikely that a writer from 'fueled' would look into the gaming forum for 'Blockland' and also happen to stumble onto the discussion topic which mention's there competitor's without excess mean's as stated by dannu. Also, the email discusses nothing whatsoever; not even mentioning blockland at all to prove that this isn't an automated system.

thanks badspot I'm doing my best

Here are a few thing's that don't make sense.
1. why are they linking the post with the image rather than the first page itself?
2. why did they mention, or even reference nothing at all related to blockland; the site that the writer supposedly searched themself to find this post.

1. the bot found the  quote, not the original.
2. its a bot.

Read through it and it was kind of annoying how everyone was so outraged at the prices. $5000 for the base app at $150/hr, which isn't uncommon for a software contracting company, is 33 hours of work. That's a reasonable amount of time to get a very basic app up and running like that.

This isn't the first spam formatted like this that I've received, so apparently it's the hot new algorithm.  I can't remember what the first one was and I'm pretty sure I deleted it, but the operation was the same automated link detection => email thing.

I've also had a few dozen generic "We're interested in purchasing advertising on your website" emails all from different names and different webmail domains.

The problem is that online advertising is basically fraud from top to bottom and should be completely destroyed.  Programmable client side filtering (adblock) should be built in to every web browser by this point - problem is that chrome and firefox both rely on advertising for funding so browser development has stagnated.  Microsoft could build adblock into IE/edge and destroy google - like literally sink the entire company overnight.  But no, they're too busy trying to become google, like some self-conscious nerd to afraid to have their own identity.  Now you're going to need adblock for your OS because windows 10 is basically glorified adware.

windows 7 all the way \o/

thank god I still have mine

never thought i was going to feel relatable to Bing lmao

Cut out the middle man and go straight to hacking people for money.  Instead of getting a 1/10th of a cent for each person you lead to malware via an ad, you could get hundreds of dollars from them by giving them malware directly.  Credit card fraud, ransom ware, cookie stuffing - the world is your oyster!
