better than the time I gave you a herniated richard
A herniated richard is not an image I needed in my mind.

Didn't you have problems with other herniated discs before? Were you warming up with 205 or was that your working weight?
Yeah I herniated a disc in my lower spine a few years ago. 205 was my working weight. I did a few laps around the track, some dynamic stretching, push ups, 95lbs, 135lbs, 185lbs, then I was gonna do 3x8 at 205lbs.

Isn't this similar to what alyx vynce has or something

How much have your previous injuries set you back in lifting?

Summer 2014 I had a shoulder injury that prevented me from doing anything strenuous for about 6 months and it wasn't until this past September that I consistently got back into lifting, and by then it was like I was starting new again. Ironically my current shoulder strength is a fair bit ahead in relation to my other lifts although I can still feel a bit less flexibility in my injured one compared to the other.

My first back injury happened the summer between my sophomore and junior year. It kept me out of sports my entire junior year and I went to physical therapy for 10 months or so. But by about 6 months I was back to running although I still had to be careful. So it affected me for about 6 months total before I could get back to some physical activity.

Im hoping that this wont be too bad and anti-inflammatorys will help. I also plan on continuing lifting in a few weeks (depending on what the doc says) but just avoided anything that puts too much stress on my neck. Even if it means looking like an idiot with a neck brace I'll do it. Weight lifting is basically my life lmao Literally tho I spend about 3 hours a day in the gym so Im pretty bummed right now

Edit: Oh yeah, update. The x rays didn't show anything so the doctor at the Urgent Care thinks its a herniation. He's sending my x rays and his notes to my primary care doctor who I'll see on Monday morning. He said that most likely my primary care doctor will send me to get an MRI and then we'll go from those results.

Funny how people just try to ignore you. Most people would take the hint and let them be

Neck pain leading to loss of feeling on your left side? Yikes dude good luck. Hope everything is treatable.

Thanks. To be honest I'm hoping for a real aggressive treatment like surgery or even a complete disc replacement because I dont want this coming back since I'd like to keep lifting.

We'll see what the MRI shows and what the doctor recommends and the cost of everything and then we'll go from there.

Holy stuff man... I hope this won't cause any permanent disability. My dad has a herniated disc in his lower spine, it pinches whenever he moves around too much. He can also become paralyzed from it if he goes the wrong way with it.

Yeah thats scary stuff. You dont wanna play around with nerves

I want them to look more into my arthritis when they do this MRI too.

U can use my wrists bb <3
Also arthritis cannot be cured, only managed
It is after all, caused by your own immune system

Your immune system causes the inflammation in your wrists like my ass causes the inflammation in your rooster ;)
