Common Core:
I haven't looked too much into it but I have seen that it places an emphasis on uniform curriculum across the country which I'm not opposed to, but also heavily stresses teaching to pass standardized tests which I am opposed to.
Media Censorship:
People should be free to form their own opinions and views based on all available information. The government should not act as a curator or suppressor of information.
Women in the Military:
Women should be able to voluntarily serve in a nation's military and I would support the establishment of a female draft in the US.
I don't think a different set of physical qualification metrics for females should be out of the question. There are genetic differences that training cannot overcome. If you take a male and female at peak genetic potential the male will be faster and stronger. I feel like society doesn't make as big of a deal overall about elite athletic competitions being separated by gender, but when mention of the military comes up they demand men and women be held to the exact same standard. A physically fit and well trained female can still outperform a lazy sack of fat male, and despite the popular image of the super buff macho soldier there are a lot of men in the military who skirt around physical fitness requirements in various ways. Not every male soldier is a physically elite killing machine either.
There is also the fact that there are many non-combat roles in the military that both males and females can take on.
