Author Topic: Movies with a bad ending  (Read 2997 times)

I've been wondering if there are any movies (except horror movies where every character dies) where it has a bad ending, and that which nobody expected and it was hoping for a good one, do you guys know any?

The heroes are at a disadvantage at the end of the Empire Strikes Back.

There was one about helping three people and those three people help other three people that had a sad ending.

There's not very many movies that are like that other than horror movies.
I mean, even Schindler's list had a "good" ending. It's hard to find a regular movie without a positive conclusion.

And Marley and Me. ='c
And Lassie

...and basically any other movie featuring a dog

five centimeters per second
perfect blue
end of evangelion

the great escape
to clarify: the ending was good, but bad for the main characters

Quote
At then end of the movie, the girl finally gets out of the vault, killing the main antagonist. Although, because of the last movie, they had to have aliens. So when she did get out, there were random loving aliens that tried to kill her. There was little to no context. It's just.. Huge moment of greatness, right to a random loving alien ship. Not to mention that she killed the main alien ship with a loving Molotov roostertail she found in a car. Just. Bullstuff. Complete bullstuff.

10 Cloverfield Lane had an absolutely terrible ending.
SPOILER:
I'm not sure that's what he meant by "bad ending"

A lot of old hollywood movies (before the 1960s) had very rushed endings.
