you know one of the pcs actually has to have an optical drive so you can put everyone on a flashdrive in the first place

Using any of CDs other than the networking one (if your networking isn't working) is kinda dumb because you should get the most up-to-date drivers/software from the part's website.

i usually just install the entire motherboard package anyway and then update anything else with the update tools on the drivers post-install

So you install bloatware on a fresh PC.
Got it

what the forget are you talking about?  the motherboard package is wireless/wired drivers, audio drivers, motherboard i/o drivers, chipset drivers all in one installer

there is no bloatware

You can just uninstall bloatware if it comes with it, its not really that big of a deal

Plus getting a CD/DVD drive would be smarter than just skipping it

What motherboard packages do you get? And how old?
All the motherboard packages I've seen have 20 useless bloat programs in the installer.

Uninstalling isn't the same as not having it in the first place.

the CDs that came with my motherboards from asus, gigabyte and asrock installed no bloatware

Its still a valid option. You shouldnt skip something entirely just cause of a few extra programs you dont want, you can just uninstall it. Boom, no more trouble

This pretty much, just install your network card driver through CD and your golden. I personally have never completely installed my optical drive, and only used it for that.

I'll help ya throw one together

I've only dealt with Gigabyte boards and they do try to install their own software + other things like NORTON

It's not skipping it entirely ya goof. You're just waiting a couple more minutes to get the latest version of drivers and software instead of using the big dumb bundles
