whats 6 ÷ 2(1+2) = ?
if the equation is written as 6 / (2(1+2)) then the answer is 1

if it is written as (6/2) (1+2) it would be 9

π

oh yeah remember that one math question on the forums that everyone had discussions because of the order of operations
Whats funny is people love to argue about the order of operations like its fluid. They love to take pemdas literally and don't realize its pem/da/s, where m/d and a/s are interchangeable.

whats 6 ÷ 2(1+2) = ?

6 ÷ 2(1+2)
6 ÷ 2(3)
3(3)
answer is 9

yeah as i recall when you have to decide between m/d or a/s you go for the leftest operation first

solve this
what is SURD form

it's 8.something

except its clearly written as 6 ÷ 2(1+2) , which in long terms would be (6 ÷ 2)(1+2)

correct, but people like akio then slid in parenthesis like its a choice they can just do.

guys lets do calculus

find the derivative of f(x) = 1/x at x=0

except its clearly written as 6 ÷ 2(1+2) , which in long terms would be (6 ÷ 2)(1+2)

no in long terms it's 6 ÷ 2(1+2) what are you being taught

solve this
it's a 45 45 90 triangle YOU WOULDN'T KNOW, so the two legs are equal, and the hypotenuse is leg(root2)

the answer is 6 root 2

what is SURD form

it's 8.something
GID THIS WAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM I DID IN THE OP

AND AKIO SAID I SUCK AT MATHS

6√2
^^^^^^

DO IT

no in long terms it's 6 ÷ 2(1+2) what are you being taught
I have to try to talk to an idiot so i have to speak in its language.
I would personally not add parenthesis but it seems its the only way SOME people can do math.
Doing this --> (6 ÷ 2) is redundant but for some people it makes it easier for them to visualize it, but then they think they can do this  6 ÷ (2(1+2)) like its allowed.

how about u do it?!?!???

DO IT
but now i actually need a calculator for this one aaaaaaaa

what does GID mean
