Is there a way you can like implement some sort of slider where on one end when things become burned they just disappear and on the other end all bricks that are not supported fake kill? Because just as we saw when you were burning down the building, it gets pretty laggy with all of that fake kill. Also, perhaps another idealistic thing, see if you can make it so the amount of things the fire emitter is being spread to does not hit every single brick, maybe spread it out a little, because that's another large cause of lag.
