So I was in walmart last night at 3 am buying cargo shorts and twizzlers with my friend, and he wanted a zippo lighter. So we get to the checkout, he has a rockstar energy drink, zippo and a thing of lighter fluid for it, when a thing pops up on the screen that says "18 or older yes/no". My friend is 17 and he couldn't buy the lighter fluid but he could buy the zippo itself. I offer to buy it for him and the lady is like "no we cant do that, there's cameras it's not allowed". So now he has a zippo with no fluid but if he wants he can go across the street to a gas pump and buy gas? I just find this really ridiculous that walmart has crap like this.
 What do you guys think.

why does he want a lighter

It's not butane, it's the liquid stuff so it's not like they don't want to sell it so you don't huff it or something.

had something similar happen to me
i was 17 at the time, friend was 18
he wanted to buy swishers, and she wouldnt let my friend buy them for himself because I refused to show my ID

obviously he wants to light things, but my question was, was it for smoking, pyromania, etc.
