i have some kitchen knives and butter knives.

incase we need to cut something and self defense for those more paranoid.
I'm not under the impression that I'll ever have to defend myself with a knife but it's still nice to have just incase.

I can't count how many times my knife has helped me do something in and out of the house. It cuts things open for you, it separates things for you, it picks things apart for you, etc.

and when something's crawling in your skin you can cut it right out

This is my only knife. I'm no knife fanatic, but having one is extremely useful.
