I actually made an ill-timed post following a similar vein in the Would You Want To Be a Girl thread.  Here is a snippet:

Really, why is everyone wearing these really warm fur boots with thin tights?  What happened to skirts, or at least, pants that aren't skin-tight?  When I go into most stores, all I see in the womens section is either frumpy or so tight that it cuts off the circulation.

Of course, it looks worse on people who are obese.
