Author Topic: Got an interview tomorrow at Chick-Fil-A (Got the job!)  (Read 3776 times)

So yeah, turned in a job application on Saturday, they called today and I set it up for 3 PM tomorrow.

Anyone have any tips for interviews? How far should I go in dressing up for a food service job interview?

I'm working at china max this summer

i got no tips but all i gotta say is chick fil a that real brother gas tho good work dog

Idk about you, but I suggest eating more chicken, or the cows will get angry

I don't think you'll have to worry for dressing up, you could do casual but make sure you are talking like you REALLY appreciate the owner and the place and that you will be willing to work for food.

i wish i could get a job

best of luck to you

I wouldn't stress about a food service gig, it's not exactly skilled labor. You really just need to make the manager think you're personable and willing to take directives from them.

I would wear something like a collared shirt and not jeans. Make sure they fit well and are clean.

Around this time is when most places do their hiring. As long as you don't act like an idiot and answer their questions without seeming like some social reject you pretty much got it in the bag. Be prepared for questions like "what are your hobbies" or "what do you do in your off time", "why do you want to work here" to get paid bitch. When I applied for a dairyqueen job I wore semi casual dress stuff. Pretty much what I would wear with a tie minus the tie and some buttons undone. That's just me tho, probably looked like a weirdo because I was just applying for dairyqueen.

tips for interviews?
be relaxed as forget but don't be so relaxed that you lose control of your sphincter

Formal shirt, tie, smart trousers, smart shoes.
This is the minimum for pretty much all interviews, regardless of the class of the workplace.

You're trying to show that you are professional.

Hope it goes well! Be calm, collected, and polite.
Also, be sure to be 10 minutes early. It shows promptness and professionalism. Don't be any earlier, however, as that suggests poor time-keeping.
If you have to wait in a waiting room with a secretary/member of staff in it, keep calm and be polite here. The interviewer will ask the staff about you afterwards. The interview starts the moment you enter the building and ends when you leave it.

You'll do fine though, I'm sure!

They're a fast food resturant based off of chicken and not beef. So thing chicken sandwiches. Delicious chicken sandwiches.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I'll do fine. I had a Dean's list interview during my robotics competition and I feel I did pretty well in that, so I think I'll be ok.
