Author Topic: >>>Port Forwarding  (Read 1660 times)

Hello you are probably reading this because you’re having port forwarding troubles. Well I have had the same problem and I know what it is like. So first you want to click on start on bottom left of your screen then go to control panel network connections then firewall then Exceptions. And see if blockland is check marked, if it is then good we can move on. Now hopefully your still in firewall exceptions now go down and click add port call it blockland. Have it port 28000 and have it TCP or UPD it doesn’t matter because I want you to make two of them both blockland and both 28000 just check TCP on one and UPD on other. That seemed to help me I don’t know if it does you because different connections modems, routers and stuff very. Now next I want you to go to start again on bottom left and click run then in run it will ask you to type in something. Type in cmd then a black box should come up. When it does come up type In ipconfig then hit enter. It should show a bunch of things like ip address, subnet mask and default gateway. Your going to want to write down default gateway and ip address with the periods and everything you will need them. Okay next bring up an internet browser now it might be hard to see but type in your default gateway like I did mine. Please do not type in mine that is just an example you have to use the specific default gateway I told you to get earlier. When you do you should get something that pops up and asks for password. If you or your guardians have it pass worded then ask them. There are a lot of possible ways to get in. You could type in the name of the router example mines a d-link so I could type that for user then leave password blank, also you could leave everything blank then try that. If that still doesn’t work try having user as admin then password blank or you could try password and user both as admin. Hopefully those worked now moving on to the next step actually forwarding the ports.

Now hopefully you have gotten into your router page look for a page called advanced or port forwarding. Now you put your ip address that I tough you how to get earlier and have UPD and TCP both on ports 28000-28030 or in some cases 28000-28000 but if your page looks like mine 28000-28030. Now that’s all I got for port forwarding but if you want to test If you blockland server works start one then when you spawn press the Microsoft button on keyboard by alt or press ctrl alt delete and it will minimize blockland. Then start another blockland and go to join game see if yours is there and see if it is dead or not.

Oh Ya, All credit goes to Builder for this guide

Why didn't he post it? Ardurrrrrrr

wow that is waaaaaayyyyy more complcated and longer to read then it accually is

and if he did make it next time tell builder to put steps in bullet or

1. step

2. step

form

1: there are many blockland, the only 1 i could find available to being made as a firewall protected thing is blockland.exe, so i added that to firewall list
2: i entered my ip adress i said page cannot load or 404 page not found
3: i would probably have a problem with step 3 if i coul d get past step 2

i did all that and my server is still on the dead list
