That's a cute cliche but it doesn't really apply when 'the hand that's feeding you' doesn't have any outside business competition and is beating you around silly for no loving reason.

Oh plenty of outlets eh? Yeah I guess they can just go to Vimeo and all of their fans will just migrate just to watch that one dude? Yeah no. People are lazy, switching off YouTube is a great way to lose 3/4ths of your viewerbase to go to an arguably inferior website.

They have a right to complain that they're not being treated fairly. Popular uploaders are the ones that make YouTube so popular. Without them, Google gets billions less in ad revenue. It's in their best interest to listen to these demands. It would be mutually beneficial.

yeah they could easily just switch over the under-monitored dailymotion, or perhaps the pay-per-year vimeo? the best place they could have is researchhub but i don't think they would enjoy an influx of gaming videos

I think all the "ironic meme" themed yt channels (cr1tikal, h3h3 etc.) should go and make their own website. Would keep a lot of the trash outside of YouTube and they won't have to whine about unfair businessmen anymore.

Normal Boots tried this. It just doesn't work lol. Their website gets like 1% the traffic that their actual channels do.
