It's not much more different than other games...
http://steamcharts.com/app/105600#All - the users playing stays pretty consistent, until steam sales or other events where it peaks then slowly falls. The only difference is the amount of players, but Blockland has always had a pretty small amount of people playing it.

I don't know if I'm part of a minority but I personally never play the steam version of blockland

It seems odd that about 75% of the users are playing through Steam. I mean, it's possible, but most of the IDs I see are non-steam.
The problem is that I'm putting the steamcharts stat against the server listings player count. There could be many players on both ends playing singleplayer, or sitting at the menu.
Which means there's more players interested in Blockland than immediately visible.
