why do people think "anime" by itself is 1 genre lol
Because the "trash" genre is quite vast

seth macfarlane shows are horrible

the "appeal of anime?" that's like saying "why do people watch cartoons?" there's no way to answer that question. "cartoons" are just another form of shows. there are many genres of cartoons and asking what the appeal is is ridiculous. there's an obvious difference between spongebob and king of the hill and no one could possibly compare the two.

Uh oh looks like op pissed off the weeb horde

its a form of media thats gets way too popular here in the states (and maybe canada and the uk or something idk) every ~5 years (early 2000s, 2007/8, 2012-14) and people who dont know what actual quality is rate all anime 5/5 or whatever the forget is perfect or near perfect

not gonna lie, i like american dad. it's still only a "decent" show in my book but the fact that it doesn't have cutaway gags already makes it miles better than family guy
