Author Topic: Anyone else got bedroom sound systems? (sound setup megathread?)  (Read 1853 times)

I have a jensen jtx-470 with 2 speakers included, set them up, sounded nice, but not loud enough for the beatles and other songs, so i got 4 jbl speakers, of the same model, but one is slightly longer than the others, hooked them up, and The Animals get bass

nothin major, but a good start imo

Post your sound systems in either your room, living room, car, ETC

yes i bot bedroom sound systems

no because i use headphones

Surround sound brother

My parents TV came with a samsung sound bar & sub woofer. I immediately stole that & use it in my bedroom for music.

No, but my house has a doorbell

My rooms a mess so I'm not gonna get any pictures but it's pretty bangin, also my bedroom is more of a rec room and that's the only reason it all fits.

Head Unit - Denon AVR-S710W
Center Speaker - Polk Monitor70 Series II
Surround Speakers - 5x Polk Monitor70 Series II
Subwoofer - Polk PSW505

The head unit is 7.2 which I really don't need but anything with the wattage per channel I wanted was 7.1 at least. I can stream spotify to it which is also really nice, it has some weird things going on with my HTPC where it likes to cut out every now and then but I like it so far.  The center and surround speakers are nice though the rears are not positioned right at all. The subwoofer is awesome, I was loving around with balancing the speakers a few days ago and I had it up really loud and it was shaking stuff off of counters in my house.

The setup is really nice but I don't have it setup well at all, I don't have a couch in front of my TV so this doesn't really work right but for music it's awesome no matter where I am.

I also have some lafayette turn table my uncle bought in the 80's or something. It needs a new cartridge and I also need some records for it.

I've got an all-vintage bedroom stereo put together from thrift store pieces that's still WIP. I'm pretty much addicted to music, it's not even funny.

Early 80s Dual CS-607 turntable
1978 Sanyo JCX 2900K Receiver
POS 80s Fisher MS-107 speakers (in the market for new ones)

The stack of tapes on the top shelf is for my walkman, but I might get a tape deck for the stereo if I find one cheap.

just my headphones since I'm only a headphones person

yeah but I only use it when I'm doing house work or when friends are over. The amp still powers my headphones from my computer tho.

I'm not at home so I can't post.

I've got two 5"s, two 6-1/2"s, and an 8" sub.

I used to have two 15"s but the sub did most of the work and there was hardly a difference.
