To be fair iTunes and buying music is on the downswing compared to streaming sites such as Spotify and the 50 others. I believe one of his major complaints was that artists were receiving even less of the profits on digital music which is still an issue especially with most of the big streaming services.

Well, yeah, but that's just how things work today... very few artists can make a living off of record sales (or streaming), most of their money comes from doing shows.
