Author Topic: I fell and my arm is still in pain after 2 weeks (UPDATE)  (Read 2459 times)

Okay so 2 weeks back I had PE and it was football (or soccer for you americigarettes). I dont really like playing football, well I dont like doing anything that either involves moving or thinking. So I was just chillig near the keeper playing as defense, p much doing nothing, and the attacker came with the ball, I charged at him and tried to slow him down so someone else who actually knows what he is doing can actually do something useful. But the asshat just pushed me over, like p hard. It was not like the "I couldnt slow down fast enough" push, he did it intentionally hard af. I wasnt prepared for a push at all so I fell harder than the twin towers. Lucky I got to block my fall with my arm but. As I stood up everythig seemed normal, but as I tried to move my arm I barely could. It felt number then my entire body trying to wake up on monday morning. So I asked to teacher if I could sit down for a minute or two. I ended up sitting trough the entire PE class and it still felt numb, I had a little wound tho but it wasnt really anything serious, it was just bleeding a little. I didnt really make a big deal out of it. It was just 1 more class and I could go home. I bit trough it while I could barely write anything down  because it still felt numb. So as I got home. I put a piece of plaster on it and moved on.
Fast forward to PE next day I asked my teacher I could go to the EHBO (or first aid or whatever) and get a new plaster because the current one was full of blood and other fluids that come out of your body. The first aid dude looked and he said it was getting infected. So I out some disgusting brown-ish paste to stop the infection and put a crapton bandage for some reason and done, seriously it looked like my entire arm broke or whatever. Fast forward to 5PM when I got home I took a painkiller because stuff hurt. For the rest of the week and the entire next week I took a mix of painkillers and infection stoppers (or whatever its called) 3 times a day.
And now whe are here. It still hurts a forgetton and I can barely jack off wich is the biggest problem of all.
We all know blockland is your #1 source of you need medical help so help I guess

Oh and this is typed on my phone where the keyboard is made for ants so i dont give 2 forgets about all ths typos in that text

Okay so I went to the doctor and apperently its very serious. He said my lower arm or wrist might be broken or have a crack and I possibly have an infection in my elbow. Or something allong those lines. Tomorrow I am going to go to the hospital to take Xrays at 8:30 or so and bring these to the docter again. I really hope I didnt break my arm (I doubt it tough). I cant participate in gym (or PE) for the next 2 weeks too (Boy does that suck  :cookieMonster:)
He advised me to keep movements in the arm minimal and to take 3 painkiller per day.
I had sports day tomorrow tho. If you dont know what that is imagine you having PE the whole day except its not in the school and somewhere your whole class decided to go. Altrough this year sucks balls and we are just going to some boring gym, I go to like atleast once per week.

So I just went to the hospital to take xrays and my arm urts a forgetton now because I had to position it in very uncomfortable and painfull positions. I get to stay the day home, wich is nice. ill get the results at 1:30 today.

not to discount your school's first aid program, but have you seen a doctor about this yet?

Nope
My mother has suggested it tough but I just said it will probably go over in a week

Even falling on it flat could sprain it since when your arm is straightened out, it isn't fully straight due to your elbow. If you fell on it really hard, you most likely made it bend farther than it should've causing the numbness in your entire arm

go see a doctor

hint: if it feels like you really should go see a doctor, go see a doctor mate.

i remember in elementary school some stuffheads hit my left arm while skiing and i had pain in that arm for the next year or so
ot:yeah you should go to a doctor

when i broke my finger the nurse claimed it was just bruised and said "oh just put some ice on it and go back to class"
i had to write with that hand

Reminds of my pleb friend who broke his finger this year and he didnt see a docter
at all
Now the finger is like curved and all wierd n stuff
He really is an idiot

Where is the pain located and what kind of pain

Go see a doctor. If it's still numb or even sore, you could've damaged a nerve, or a tendon.

As for the fact that your cut may be infected, you should get that seen to as well.
Your school nurse probably only gave you an antiseptic wipe/cream. And if you're taking actual antibiotics without being prescribed them for that infection, you absolutely shouldn't be.

Go to your doctor, let him see why it's still sore, and treat your infection, if it's still there.
