Yeah, exactly.
I will never understand why teachers think sending a student to the office/a principal/counselor/whatever is always going to result in punishment. It's not like they're machines or they'll suck your richard or something and punish a kid for whatever insane reason you sent them in for.
Fun story regarding this:
I once did that thing where you put your tongue between 2 fingers, as a sign of licking the pusillanimous individual or whatever.
Anyway, my teacher caught me doing that, and sent me to the dean's office. See, I was in 2nd grade at the time, so I had no clue what that meant. So I strolled down to the dean's office, and when I came in, she asked why I'm there. Apparently my teacher didn't bother to call ahead. "I did this: *does tongue thing* in class and my teacher sent me here." She just laughed and sent me back to class.
