Author Topic: visual boy advance problems with gamecube controller  (Read 9568 times)

hello all, i don't know where to stick this so i'll just post this here.
recently i've been trying to set up the wii u gamecube controller adapter (official, not mayflash) with my computer (i got it to work) but when i try to use it with my gba emulator the screen opens for a split second then goes black with no sound:

any advice? i don't really know much about this stuff so any help would be great, thanks!

i should have added a few more details i apologize
i am currently using this for my drivers and i have tested out the rom i'm trying to play before i installed it and it worked fine.

Does it get a black screen only when you plug the controller in?

this is pretty much what happens, i cleared my config file to reset my settings so i could show you guys

what i think is happening is when it detects my controller the game just speeds up to oblivion but i have no clue how or why that is happening.

configure speed, capture, and gs to keyboard keys

tried this with mother 3 and this happened lmao, i guess that proves my theory

where? i'm sorry i'm dumb i just can't really find what you're talking about.

the last 3 inputs in joypad/configure/1
try setting them to keys on your keyboard.

well that fixed the speed problem. it still bugs out though. i'm guessing my controller is either stuck or i need to re calibrate (i'm assuming the latter)
thanks for the help! i'm gonna keep this thread unlocked for a bit just in case.

okay what the hell, i have no clue why this keeps happening to me
everything is acting like it's having a loving stroke like i'm mashing random buttons constantly, even though i just tested it on my wii u and it worked fine
it calibrated perfectly too.
what the hell?
