Author Topic: Collision problems with Torque  (Read 3555 times)

I've made a map and it's all done except the texturing.
Problem is, whenever I export it as a legacy DIF and place it using the mission editor, I get odd glitches and collision problems. This has happened several times, and I don't know what's causing it/how to fix it.
It's all find in Constructor though, this only appears after I place it.

Here are a few screenshots to illustrate the problem better.
Whenever I try to take a step near it, I simply fall through.

i dont know how to fix it since i dont even have mission editor, "but whatever the map is gunna be, it'll rock from what i see." <<<ryhme! yay!

lol ryhme

heh, glad you like it.
It's a deathmatch map. I was planning on releasing it on Monday, but from the looks of this it might take me until next week.

Most of it was designed by me. Partizan whipped it up in torque constructor. and made the other half up.

Half of it was designed by me. Partizan whipped it up in torque constructor. and made the other half up.
>_>

While in game F11 then Select the Interior then Move it around a little so the collision gets reset.

While in Torque Constructor, First save the map, then Export as legacy dif.  For me this consistently corrects the problem.

If That doesn't work then, save the map, close constructor, then reopen and export (without making changes).

What an efficient way to do something!
It seems that every time I try to export, one problem resolves, but another one occurs.
Guess I'll keep trying until there are no problems?

have you tried getting the new user created 1.04 patch? It's supposed to have fixed a lot of issues.

I'll look into it once I get to my Desktop computer, thanks.

The problem persists.
It might be because I installed 1.0.4 imporperly, or is it suppoused to look like this?

mine says 1.0.4 so you probably did something wrong

I don't see what I did wrong.. I extracted to D:\program files\Torque\Constructor and ran update.bat
It said that everything was copied succesfully, yet when I start torque, it still says 1.0.3

Recently attempted to manually place the files in the right places as described by the readme, still says 1.0.3 ...

Then download 1.0.4???
