PSA: stop hosting your city RPGs at the same damn time

twenty loving other people host their crpg
blockland player base is already exhausted from the other one
twenty loving other peoples' servers aren't doing well

i wonder why.

blades you could have worded this not terribly, but i agree.

cityrpg servers are habitually hosted by terrible people who can't run their servers. we don't need an influx of these people hosting at the same time.

I disagree, let people host what they want. If their server doesn't get a good amount of players that is their fault. People play servers because they enjoy them, and if they want to play then let them.

i came across a video a week ago of someone trying out blockland and he happened to join my server cause there wasnt anything interesting or clear to do on other servers topping the player list - he managed to get some fun out of my server through a dueling mod, but in the end got bored and generalized the video by calling it blockland sucks

he does admit theres things in blockland that you cant do in other games like roblox as well, but the simple fact there wasnt much unique fun things to do gave an overall bad experience

Why just not host CityRPG unless the mod is remade so its actually good and not be "Be the first to make a store infront of the spawn so people go to it and make you able to fund your guns to kill everyone on the sidewalks." and do a drug farm if theres drugs in the mod.

i'm pretty sure that theres a lot of talk but it barely happens because it's a huge job and motivation is scarce because it sucks so bad

i don't think we make the best of first impressions, and has been the case for a very long time

it would take a lot of organization to fix it
or just a generous server hoster

Really though, polluting the server with stale servers isn't healthy. Yeah, it's a game about building, and that option is always available. But obviously not everyone is going to want to do that, and not everyone is a builder despite building it. There's incentive to play on things other people have built. Or admire.

But all people want to do is build a gun store and shoot each other up, or mine rocks.
