That would make them mindless drones with no free will.

A fetus has no conscious and is even incapable of being a mindless drone. Plus it's not even born yet so it's not alive.

People even claim that as soon as your sperm hits the egg then the baby is considered "alive."

Well then by that logic your sperm is alive and you're killing millions of individual live children each day.

Which literally was why procrastination was considered immoral to most popular religions because you were killing children.

Let me rephrase what I mean by "alive."

You and me are relatively socially alive.

A plant is a plant.

An unborn baby doesn't mentally exist yet. Some scientists say babies don't develop consciousness until after a few months from being born.**

**Before you counter that. The baby may not have conscious after being born but it is slowly developing it over time, so no it's not okay to abort a baby in that state.
