i'm pretty sure if you can create an aim assist you can create an aimbot

they sound very similar in uses

Look, all I want is someone to make an addon that helps players aim. I didn't expect this thread to become a war. If Badspot dosn't allow aim assist either, then I will lock this thread. For now, it's staying up.

just practice aiming more or make your sensitivity higher it's not like it's a monumental task to click on someone with a mouse
plus like 80% of the weapons in bl are projectile based so it's not like it would help much

aim assist is impossible unless a server has an add-on for it and no server will have that add-on because that add-on would allow someone to make an aimbot

You have to realize two things here. One is that aim assist, is essentially a:

watered-down aimbot

Aim assist was specifically designed for console players because it is near impossible to have even the same amount of accuracy with a controller then with a mouse. PC games arent meant to be played with aim assist. Number two, im pretty sure its impossible to make in the first place, even if it was and someone took the unnecessary time to make one, it would be banned since A, PC games arent meant to be played with aim assist, B nobody would have/use it anyways, and C, its a

watered-down aimbot

there are still ways to make aimbots (and probably always will be since the position data has to be sent to the client anyways in some shape or form), but as has been already said, would get immediately failbinned and broken in an update.

plus the vast majority of bl weapons are projectile, and even raycast weapons suffer from latency issues since a "good" ping for BL is under 100-150, which is high enough to throw off client-sided aimbots.

Yeah, but aim assist "soft aims" onto enemies rather than looking at them all the time.

alright, I understand. I'll try to aim better then, since aim assist is apparently, considered an "aimbot." I thought it would be a helpful thing, not harmful.

but like I said, if baddy says that aim assist isn't allowed, then this thread will be locked.

Last thing: people keep saying that aim assist is mainly for controllers. Does that mean aim assist is not allowed for PC? I might have to look that up.
