Heard about this all throughout today; I'm going to wait until the major media attention dies down so that I can get some serious facts about the situation.
It's such a pedantic thing to be loving annoyed with, but I really dislike when people put a lot of attention into these kinds of incidents without any understanding of how planes work, and they start shovelling down all kinds of rumours and exaggerations that clearly don't work. Best thing to do is to wait until Egypt's Transport Bureau report back with solid details, although they've been known to forget up previous incident reports...
In one incident, the Egyptian investigators concluded that there was a fault with the aircraft, while the NTSB demonstrated the aircraft was in perfect condition, and that rather the pilot had commited Self Delete and took all the lives on the plane with him. I fear that Egypt's stance on social issues might once again intervene with getting a proper conclusion to this story.
