Author Topic: New Gaming PC help  (Read 982 times)

So... I want to buy a new gaming PC custom built but I have no idea on what specs to get because I've never owned a desktop pc I've always had a laptop but people said instead of buying a new laptop that's not got good specs just buy a gaming pc and it's 10x better. My budget is £1000 and it's $1450 please can you guys help me
I'm looking for a pc that will run the newest games on ultra or even max, Will that be possible in that price range?

Google for one?

Lenovo's Erazer series is pretty good.  Have a gander at that.  Might not run on max, but it's within the price range.

why not build one yourself

I am but I have not got the foggiest on how to set it all up and what I need to complete it.

Take the time to watch some youtube vids on it. Its very easy to do when you learn to understand the components and how they work with eachother. I watched a series of videos once, then built my first PC without having to reference it again. Its legos with really expensive parts, tbh.

I can confirm.

It might be worth waiting for the 10XX series of cards to go into full production before investing in a new PC. It won't be long until that happens and you'll be much better off if you do wait just a little bit. If you really can't stand to wait then feel free to PM me with any questions you have and, if it's what you want, I'll put together a parts list for you.

This offer applies whether or not you decide to wait however; I'm always open to questions regarding PCs from anyone

Alright I'll watch a few videos but would I be able to get a decent gaming pc for that price range?

Alright thank you

It depends on what peripherals you do/do not need but £1000-£1450 is definitely enough to put together a pretty sweet rig

You can have someone build your PC at best buy for like $50 if you dont want to build it, just get the parts

cpu and gpu are important for gaming rigs, so be sure to not skimp on those. just a tip

and when the 1070 comes out get it. what you have left should be about on budget there.
i say go for an EVGA SC version (not these stuffty founders edition ones)

/\ this should be able to do basically any game on 4k@60fps for all new games of the next few years.
for a decade if you stay at 1080p lol
