Author Topic: how to get parents to buy HTC Vive  (Read 2045 times)

I can't buy it all with my own money RN so how do you think I can get my parents to pitch in a tad?
If I ever do get enough money to buy it with my I'll probably be broke so I'd like some way to recover from a large purchase like that

yes I know it's out of stock

just don't
it's super expensive, if you want it then you'll have to work for it
and if you somehow get your parents to buy it for you then they're terrible parents tbh

Don't

But in all seriousness, save your pennies for something else, like college.

you do NOT want to get the HTC Vibe this early. wait for it to drop in price.

you do NOT want to get the HTC Vibe
well he clearly does.

I thought you had some kooky plan to make them think it's educational or something they could use. Like you could go on a virtual tour of italian cities or something. You're asking us for a plan?

I intend to wait for the VR competition to sort itself out (which set is the best value / most widely compatible / most reliable) and get less expensive.

It's funny because my step-dad is interested into it.

Anywho, if you have a Microcenter, they should have something where you can sign up to have 10 (or was it 30?) minutes of HTC Vive fun!

also do you even have a computer that will support VR? If so, who payed for that? Because those computers are rather expensive.

Don't get it this early, wait for it to go into full production and lower in cost significantly
