What you think is cool now, or how you want to express yourself now may be completely different to what you think in a year, or 10 years, or 30 years. You can throw out your wardrobe and cut your hair when you like.
Yeah, it's your body and you can do what you want, but if you're going to get something permanently put on your skin (especially if somewhere prominent) then you should do yourself a favour and be confident that you're not going to start to regret the choice any time soon.
And this is more the case when you're a teen and still don't fully know who you are or what you like.
If it has at least a little meaning to you then you're not so likely to regret it.
Yeah, I'm generalising, but there's no loss in being cautious in a decision like this one.
