dramatized greentext version:

Quote
>    Our party has been sent by King Zarachiah III to slay the Demon Lord Yugoslab who is planning an invasion of their home nation. We arrive in his Underworld Throne Room, and announce that we are there to kill him for his sins.
>    He laughs, and a great battle starts.
>    Our party doesn't have a chance.
>    One-by-one we fall, until only the Dwarf Rogue (Bumblewick) vanishes into the darkness, watching us bleed to death.
>    He has 3 potions on him. The green vial is Deadly Acid--he learned that from an INT check, and one is a health potion. He only has time to give us each part of one.
>    He rushes and pours the red vial into our party's lips.
>    He rolls poorly. The vial was a potion of night vision!
>    He is now alone, with the rest of the party dead, standing before the Great Demon King who has murdered his friends.
>    The demon king laughs, and lunges towards him!
>    Bumblewick is torn to shreds, until he lies on the ground, near death.
>    The Demon Lord stands over him, gloating, and prepares to slaughter the last of our party.
>    Bumblewick hurls the acid into the demon's face.
>    Critical hit!
>    Lord Yugoslab's skin begins to melt--and he screams in pain, running for the door and calling for his guards!
>    As he runs, near-death, the Dwarf Rogue stands. He draws his family heirloom--an obsidian pickaxe--and asks what he will need to roll to hit the fleeing demon with it.
>    I shrug and roll a D20. It's a 19.
>    I tell him he'll have to roll a 19 to pull that off.
>    The entire party gathers round and holds their breath.
>    BUMBLEWICK ROLLS A 19! The group erupts into cheers.
>    The pickaxe pierces the back of the demon's skull, splattering Demon Lord Yugoslab's brains across the corridor hall.
>    Bumblewick stands over him and pulls out his weapon, as the summoned guards rush in and surround him.
>    As the demonic rite of succession states--he who defeats the Lord in a duel will take his place.
>    Bumblewick laughs as his newfound servants bow to their new lord, his mind broken from the injuries and the deaths of his friends.
