Teamviewer has been pretty irresponsible about the whole situation, denying that they have been hacked and instead blaming users for having weak passwords. On the contrary, a number of users with strong passwords and two-factor authentication have been simultaneously compromised in a short time which makes a good case for them being hacked. I'd strongly advise uninstalling teamviewer and searching for evidence that your computer was used. If you were affected you'll need to make sure all your money is in the right place too, as the hackers have mostly been stealing money from users they compromise.

I've just disconnected the modem in my dad's office which uses unattended team-viewer and will begin uninstalling it. Thanks for the warning!

This is a pile of bull. TeamViewer deserves to have a lawsuit up their butt for blatantly denying that the hackings where their fault when it really was.
I used to use TeamViewer, don't have it installed on my main PC right now luckily for me. Uninstalling it from my MacBook right now. The more people that uninstall this piece of crap software and move on, the better.

Personally ive used Chrome Remote Desktop, but it does not have sound which isnt a problem for me, but might for others
Its in the Google chrome web store, and it needs to be downloaded on your computer and device.

Its relatively easy to set it up too
