My dog is more annoying with a cat around, how the hell do you make them get together?

there's a reason why there's a saying on how people fight like "cats and dogs"
the only thing occuring in my mind is tying the two together and hoping that time together will help them bond

Well, if they're full-grown, forget about it. If they're puppy and kitten, teach them not to fight.

Here's your solution.
How do you get them together like that? Cut off in front of their back legs and glue them together. Done.

Raise the cat with the dog from a young age so they bond. Like, bring them together within the first few weeks of their lives.
Alternatively, cast them together in a looney tunes cartoon.
