Author Topic: over 32 million passwords leaked on twitter  (Read 1573 times)

:/

is there any way to check which accounts got their passwords leaked?

maybe I'll finally be able to log into my new account on my desktop
how the hell did they let me use the same email for two accounts

is there any way to check which accounts got their passwords leaked?
ctrl-f in the document

what document
i'm assuming there was a document involved, as the article made mention of a file. either way, it was just a joke, don't actually do it. i wouldn't want to have that file sitting around on my computer, acting as a liability.

its safe to mention that twitter does notify you if you were effected
i was not affected but i changed mine to be safe

this is why I dont have twitter

they might steal my 9 tweets!!

Why does a file with 33 million unhashed passwords even exist on their server at all ...?

This makes no sense.

this breach might not mean anything if the passwords were hashed properly (they would have been hashed properly)

it's probably another instance of the news media making massive drama over nothing

So your telling me, that the twitter servers has a database IN PLAIN TEXT that contained unhashed passwords and user information?
Talk about security.
Im just going off what im interpreting in these posts though

Better not be unhashed, that is just dumb.
