Author Topic: Your opinion on Vehicles lately  (Read 3158 times)

I wanted to research about this further a bit, I made this question in my development topic but I want to do it here to see if the replies will be similar or different.

On the last few years we received a rather big growth in car variety for Blockland and more people got in to develop more as well, for example me, Night Hawk, TheTurtorn who sadly left, Teneksi and others, and I'm just curious what the community thinks of the game getting more variety of what cars to drive that's all, I have no intentions to bring hateful comments here I'm just curious of the general community opinions about the subject.

There's nothing wrong with more cars to drive, but some people would like to see more planes to fly or tanks to shoot.

well to be honest for myself I don't usually get very many of the realistic vehicles anymore aside from most of yours and Barnabas's and some vehicles from others mainly because a lot of them have different styles apart from eachother and I'm the kind of person that wants everything in a pack and also other packs of things that might fit
however I still love what everyone else is doing with all of their vehicles but I just probably won't use them together

A lot of what I've done in blockland the past few years involved vehicles; I built several superkart and speedkart tracks, made a pizza delivery gamemode with the bike pack, etc. Everything I've done with vehicles was for racing in one way or another.

With that said, you can probably understand why I only care about small, fast vehicles - they're good for multiplayer racing - people are less likely to collide with eachother and the track width can be smaller.

I'm mostly indifferent to the new vehicles because they're too large for racing. That's ok though. I don't expect developers to cater to my interests.

i think that just about all vehicles lack interior, sounds, and interactive things

most of all, they are really weird to drive

I agree with gr8dayseth that having vehicles of different styles is undesirable, but also agree with Magus and wish there was more variety to the vehicles coming out. It seems like everyone keeps making modern cars but I'd like to see planes, tanks, and even medieval, vintage, or sci-fi stuff too.

I like the vehicles especially yours  Filipe, but the others in the this thread said

Lack interior? Are you sure about that one?

it would be nice to see a larger variety of vehicles other than cars, but given that most of you vehicle makers are into BL for the creative aspect you shouldn't let the community dictate what you make

that being said, it would probably be more interesting for you guys if you tried different things rather than just cars again and again. or maybe diversify the kinds of cars/ground vehicles; eg do a double decker bus or a moped or a flying car

I want better physics.
this, i never really notice when there's new vehicles or not because of getting easily sidetracked by how unbelievably handicapped the physics are

yeah i dont even care when some ultra specific car brand comes out as a vehicle. because its the same as every other blocko car lol.

make some cool vehicles. Blockland doesn't have nearly enough boats. A full-sized blimp would be pretty cool too.

Sadly better physics won't be possible to be made as an add-on or else I'm pretty sure it would be made a long time ago.

i think they're alright if people enjoy or use them but they all feel the same to me. i myself don't find any interest in vehicles nor do i see a real use for them due to the game's physics so vehicles end up being the add-on category i never download from.

I might be thinking of the older cars
