How could you be surprised by the tax? It's not like it's a different rate than any other normal consumer item.

Well it's not rather a surprise for me just disappointment that in order to purchase one $450 thing I gotta give another $50 to the government when that tax money's prob going to go to some experiment about how long rats can swim for or some weird stuff.

taxes are also supposed to be illegal to begin with but hehe nope, the good ol' elites need all that moola.

in the US, you should only be taxed for online orders if the order can be physically within your state. otherwise it would be illegal. that's why i get $0.00 tax from most online stores (only one i've found is apple stuff iirc) cus nobody wants to set up shop in alabama :'^] (not sure if there's some weirdness for one or two states, but that should be the case)

so i ordered around $1500 of parts, including a 1070 from evga, and didn't pay tax on any of it wew. not sure what would've happened if i got a card from nvidia, because i know there's a mysterious office with the nvidia logo pretty nearby where i live

I mean in general they should be illegal, as in this country was founded on "ey forget taxes" but then they're here anyways (althought they do some good, some)

and what even forget you, my entire setup minus the 1070 had like $60-$70 tax, and then my 1070 (from Nvidia's website not EVGA's) had a $50 tax :c

bah whatever, this thing's a beast, can't wait for my Vive bc that's the main reason I got this to begin with.

be prepared to not be able to use it, the drivers are going to crash the stuff out of your games. Also when it does happen come here with what the notification says.
