Author Topic: Do you ever feel that you have to be an ass to people sometimes?  (Read 2319 times)

I feel the need to be an ass on the forums all the time but that's the only way to get your point across around here.

In real life I'm a funny and easy going guy and it would take a lot to piss me off to the point of being a richard to someone.
Yeah, pretty much me.

So, I suppose Ill go into story time here since this isn't something I actually condone 100% and I feel that I should elaborate..

There's this one kid at my University named Josh who is the most cancerous forget imaginable. Basically, anyone who tries to be nice to this guy becomes his best friend ever because I'm willing to bet everyone hes ever been in contact with outgoingly hates him. Once this happens, he wont let you alone and if your too passive to tell him off, he will begin to chip away at your grades by either unintentional sabotage to work/personal belongings, partnering up on projects that matter and then proceeding to no none of the work required, or by just convincing people to skip consecutive classes to hang out and watch him get drunk or something. Hes a real piece of work, this guy.

Hes roomed with about 8 people in my quarter and so far he's the reason, one way or another, that 5 of those 8 dropped out. He destroyed an entire computer by getting drunk, tripping over the tower, and spilling 3 other loose drinks (of his) onto it and then refused to pay for the damages because, "It wasn't me" despite that I and 3 others watched him run into it. He crashed another roommates car that he did not have permission to take out because "I dont know how to drive standard", and "It wasn't like my Jeep", and also refused to pay for damages. (Court date still pending) etc. etc.

So basically, this is the one person on earth that I have no problems being a 100% starfish to, mainly because he deserves it and has no remorse for any of his thick headed actions. And because no matter now much I tell him I hate his guts, he comes back 5 minutes later thinking were all friends again. Its gotten to the point that most of my professors will back me up on this kid when I chew him out after he does something disruptive in class (which happens quite often might I add)

Also, hes the kind of person who never really got past the "On, I need to shower and put deodorant on every day because I smell like hot garbage" phase most of us had in middle school.
He is past pitying.

If their intelligence level is below that of an average handicap, yes

I know of two in particular like this at my university. One of which I'm roomed with.
Im guessing either their parents either pushed them out, threw tuition money at them and told them to gtfo
or it was a last ditch effort to teach them responsibility my forcing them to fend for themselves.

I might go into detail about my personal "adopted kid" that I was forced to room with later.

I don't try to be an ass but I suppose some people could perceive me that way.

i'm sorry to hear that

Well, once I move out hes pretty forgeted.
All of the kitchen stuff is mine...

Was just reminded of about two weeks ago when I was getting off work from the drive thru and one of my friends came in to take over for me after having a bad day. Some needy craplord was giving her a bunch of trouble at the window because his tacos weren't beautiful enough or something like that, so she got mad and closed the window. I, meanwhile, stopped counting my drawer, grabbed the idiot's food, and walked to the window. Tossing it open, I shoved it out the window into his car. As I started to shut the window, he started whining about ketchup (on tacos...). That was the last straw. Reaching up and grabbing a spilling handful of ketchup packets, I shoved the window open, leaned out the window and into his car, and clapped a handful of ketchup packets into his bag before slamming the window so hard that the frame shook.
