Author Topic: Lord Tony Deep Question Time: Why are humans smart enough to kill themselves?  (Read 3235 times)

You could be the richest man in the world, acquire like 20 wives, have 200 sports cars, etc.

Then you die and everything you worked hard for is gone.

So it doesn't matter if you're a bum or super rich guy, both end the same.

If animals are depressed they will stop eating and die. Some animals will just walk into the forest just to die. This is a known fact. Also ants will willingly sacrifice themselves for the rest of the nest.

Chemical reactions are telling these animals that there is nothing to fight for. It's correct.

Humans can process psuedo-reasoning and convince themselves to kill themselves for illogical reasons

stop trying to start an argument

Um did you read the topic title?

They are asking for my opinion. So you're telling me to stop posting in a thread that is literally asking for me to speak.

Also, there is no god.

That's just science.

you're calling it an opinion while stating it like it's a fact

OT: iirc a dolphin killed himself after a trainer he was loving got arrested for having love with a loving dolphin

There is almost uncertainty that there is no God. There is no way a complex universe is so simple enough to be managed by one or many higher beings.

There is no way a complex universe is so simple enough to be managed by one or many higher beings.

computers and programming are complex and humans manage them. is it so hard to believe that the same principle applies on a higher level of existence?

Computing is just ones and zeros.

The universe is a little more complex than that.

Try ones and zeros in four loving dimensions at the same time. Past, present and future.

If there is a God he would be fourth dimensional and would have to manage all 3 infinite possibilities of time. Past, present and future.

Even if God is real he is unable to focus on insignificant mud people as he has to run a universe on all time lengths.

So this leads to the question, is human life really that special? A super being like that probably has never noticed us.

I believe if God exists it is 100% nothing like any religion we have on the planet making all religions, beliefs and philosophies wrong.

I doubt god has ever made contact with earth.
